The Royal Canin Labrador Championship Show, held on 11 June, judged by Lynda Heron of Brigburn Kennels UK was another well organised success.
Rusty Nail did an excellent job catering the event and the dogs shown were in good condition and of great type. The Show was followed on the 12th by a successful Field Trial, where Lynda Heron again was an able judge.
Lynda was last here some years ago and was delighted to find our Labradors “not overdeveloped” and remains recognizably the same as 50 years ago. She recommends that breeders should treasure this and, that while new blood may be needed, this should be chosen with great care and attention, and an eye on the past. Thank you Lynda for coming back again. Hope to see you again in the future.
