- BITCHES IN SEASON MAY NOW BE EXHIBITED IN BEAUTY CLASSES BUT ARE NOT ALLOWED TO COMPETE IN OBEDIENCE TESTS.
- A SPECIAL TOILET AREA WILL BE SET ASIDE FOR IN SEASON BITCHES
- Only dogs with valid DISTEMPER CERTIFICATES WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE SHOWGROUND. Validity is not less than 2 weeks before the Show and not more than 1 year before the Show date. Puppies should be vaccinated at the age of 12 weeks. Please consult your vet if in doubt. Booster doses are valid within a week.
- RABIES A valid RABIES CERTIFICATE OF VACCINATION for each dog MUST be presented at the time of Veterinary Inspection. LIVE VACCINE IS VALID FOR 2 YEARS BUT INACTIVE VACCINE IS VALID FOR ONE YEAR ONLY. Please consult your vet if in doubt
- PUPPIES – Vaccination of puppies at 12 weeks of age with an inactive vaccine is valid for one year, but those puppies vaccinated before 12 weeks of age should be re-vaccinated at 12 weeks of age or soon after. PRIMARY VACCINATION of a puppy at six months of age means they cannot be shown until they are seven months old. Puppies vaccinated before the age of six months can be exhibited if this is done one month or more before the first day of the Show.

|Exhibitors arriving more than 30 minutes after the Vet Office is due to close without a valid excuse will be fined the sum of KSh 1,000/-|
BREEDS shown in the morning session may leave at 1 p.m. but Breeds shown in the afternoon session must stay until the Show closes. As the general public pays to see the dogs it would be appreciated if you could adhere to the above rules and keep your dogs at the Show until leaving time. Thank You.
EXHIBITORS ARE ASKED TO CHECK CAREFULLY that dogs are eligible for the Classes in which they are entered by age, previous wins or any other conditions which are required to be observed. If in doubt contact the EAKC Office. 0734 650213 or see the notes at the end of this schedule.

ENTRY FEES FOR MEMBERS OF THE EAST AFRICA KENNEL CLUB
For each dog: KSh. 800/- per Class. Benching fees included in the entry fee.
NOTE: MAXIMUM FEE FOR A MEMBER KSh. 5,000/- FOR ANY NUMBER OF CLASSES
ENTRY FEES FOR NON-MEMBERS OF THE EAST AFRICA KENNEL CLUB
For each dog: KSh. 1,000/- per Class. Benching fees included in the entry fee
Exhibitors may enter Dogs NOT FOR COMPETITION at 500/- per dog
Each Exhibitor will receive a complimentary Catalogue.
Note: CASTRATED DOGS AND SPAYED BITCHES ARE ELIGIBLE FOR EXHIBITION WHETHER OR NOT THEY HAVE PROGENY REGISTERED WITH THE E.A. KENNEL CLUB
IMPORTANT: Children under the age of 8 years ARE NOT permitted to be in charge of a dog within the precincts of the Showground. Children MUST NOT be allowed to wander unattended amongst the Benches occupied by dogs. The Show Organisers and the East Africa Kennel Club cannot be responsible for any incidents resulting from failure to observe this warning.
JUNIOR HANDLING CLASSES will be held on Sunday 16th October during the lunch hour. These classes are for age groups 6 to 12 years and 13 to 16 years and for exhibits led into the Ring and exhibited by a child permitted to handle a dog which is the property of an Exhibitor at the Show and which has been entered in a Breed class.
Points won will count towards the JUNIOR HANDLER OF THE YEAR TROPHY
IMPORTANT:NO DOG SHALL BE ABSENT FROM ITS BENCH EXCEPT FOR THE PURPOSE OF BEING JUDGED OR EXERCISED FOR A MAXIMUM OF FIFTEEN MINUTES, OR BY ORDER OF THE VETERINARY SURGEON OR A MEMBER OF THE SHOW COMMITTEE.
DOGS MUST NOT BE LEFT IN VEHICLES.
If dogs are in vehicles in warm weather even with windows ajar they can quickly suffer from heatstroke and die in less than 20 minutes.
Regular checks will be made in the car park by officials.
Exhibits must be present in the Collecting Ring within 5 minutes of the first call for that Breed. Exhibits which are not in the Collecting Ring when judging of the Breed commences will not be judged. In the case of those Breeds with all Classes divided by sex, the sex called for must be present in the collecting ring within 5 minutes of the first call for that Breed and sex.
All exhibits in the breed will be required to remain in the collecting ring until judging of the breed has been completed unless specifically excused by the ring steward or the judge. Dogs may not be withdrawn from a class without the specific permission of the judge through the ring steward.
|DOGS TO RETURN ON SUNDAY|
|BEST PUPPIES All Best puppies will be eligible to compete in the Puppy Criterion for Best Puppy in Show to be judged on Sunday afternoon. Puppies eligible will be the winners of Puppy Classes in their respective breeds. However, if no Puppy Class is provided for a Breed the best puppy in that breed will be nominated by the Judge. Owners should return to the Showground with their Puppies by 2 p.m. Please bring your Number Card with you.|
|BEST OF BREEDS, VETERANS, BRACES AND TEAMS|
|Each Best of Breed, the winner of the Veteran Class judged on Saturday and the winners of the Brace and Team Classes judged on Saturday should return to the Showground on Sunday afternoon to compete in Best in Show judging in their respective groups and categories. All dogs to have returned to the Showground by 2 p.m. Please bring your Number Card with you.|
|Challenge Certificates will be offered to all Breeds classified, but in the case of Breeds entered in the any breed not separately classified classes, Challenge Certificates will be offered at the discretion of the E.A. Kennel Club for all Breeds for which Challenge Certificates are offered under the Kennel Club Regulations, and for those Breeds eligible to receive Challenge Certificates (or their equivalent) in their Country of Origin.|
|Champion Classes will be offered to all Breeds for Champions only. The Winner of the Champion Class will not be eligible to challenge for the Challenge Certificate but may compete for Best of Breed|
|Only members of the East Africa Kennel Club are eligible to win cups and trophies of the E.A.K.C. on offer at this show|
