The 162nd EAKC Championship Dog Show

Its that time of year again when we get in to the mad rush of running the May Championship Dog Show. Don’t let the title fool you. That’s almost tomorrow!

Our judge this May will be Keith Baldwin from the UK. Keith has never been to Kenya before but I know we’ll make his stay one he’ll want to repeat!

It was 1978,  that Keith purchased his first Working Breed, a Dobermann followed by Belgian Shepherd Dog ( Tervueren ) in 1991.

Throughout his hobby,  he has bred and made up Champions in Dobermann, Belgian Shepherd Dogs, Schipperke and Miniature Pinscher.
In England the Working Group was split in 1998 to form the Pastoral Group, but he has won the Working Group at Border Union 1996 with his Belgian Shepherd Dog, CH. Belamba Monopoly over Nightstorm,  then in 2001 Keith bred this dog and his son showed to 16 Challenge Certificates, CH. Nightstorm’s Fotocopy was awarded BOB at Crufts.

Keith first awarded Challenge Certificates in 1996 for Dobermann, then Belgian Shepherd Dogs from 2002, he is now approved by the Kennel Club to award Challenge Certificates in 17 breeds. The Working Group, The Pastoral Group and ultimately Best in Show

Keith has enjoyed the pleasure of judging Dobermann bitches at Crufts 2013 and is booked for the 2018 Australian Cattle Dog, 2019 Tibetan Mastiff and 2020 Belgian Shepherd Dog (Tervueren and Malinois) shows.
Keith has judged in Vladivostok – Russia, Sweden, Jersey, Guernsey and Southern Ireland, and is very much looking forward to judging in Nairobi Kenya 2017.
